First homesteaded in Knoxville, IL in 1835 by the Charles family, who established a cattle farming “empire” that grew to over 1200 acres by 1890. The main barn is now used to host special events, and there is even a bed and breakfast to stay in. The farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989 and has since been featured in several books and magazines. The 19th century farm is in the process of restoration, but remains as a working 21st century farm, now owed by Jan King.
The main barn makes for the ideal location to host any kind of wedding and/or special or private event, and truly bring your vision to life.
